Were all your high end graphics from different manufacturers?
[edit]: I've tried downloading the entire driver pack. It sucks since the 460 was my first card of choice, then I had to return it and bought the 6970 thinking I'd have zero issues (I should've gone with the 6870, I really should have... or the 570 maybe). I've tried using the original BIOS that came on the computer (I think F4), and I've tried F6, and F7.

Well I've only ever had two high-end graphics cards. Bit of an angry exaggeration. But I've had a number of mid-end graphics cards.

8800 Ultra <-- Asus (pretty sure Asus, might've been EVGA can't remember)
6970 <-- Diamond

GTX 460 <-- EVGA
GTS 250 <-- Sparkle (I think)

I've had two other cards (two 5770's, one from Sapphire one from Gigabyte, which were excellent).

The 8800 Ultra overheated REALLY badly (I mean really really badly... peaking over 110c). The 6970 you know. The gtx 460 had driver crashing issues from the get-go and wouldn't work no matters what. And the GTS 250 has driver crashing issues (just a tad bit... like very rare), and heat issues (overheats in the summer in a well ventilated case).

I have used every one of these cards. The 5770's were wonderful (and are wonderful). My only card I own right now is the 6970. The 460 was returned, 5770's are in xfire in a family computer, and the 8800 Ultra is old news. The 250 is in my brother's computer at the moment.
