Hey Fellow OCN Members, I Need some input I just found out that I could purchase MSI’s Sandy Bridge board the P67A-65 there is also the c43 and 55 series available at a store I frequent in Houston Texas. Would this be a good board and is it worth it still? I under stand there is a controller issue going on and a fix in the process. In my readings I am seeing it is with the SATA 3 controller and degrading over time now I contacted MSI today and they confirmed that it is with the SATA 2 controllers and if you purchase the board and register it before April 30, 2011 they will still honor the replacement when the get the new revisions in. Now in theory if I purchase this and a say crucial c-300 ssd and another sata 3 mechanical drive I should be all gravy for the time being but how would I hook up the optical drives would I need to buy a controller card and run on a pci-x?
I was going to pull the trigger on a 1156 socket and pair with a i7 870 would that still be any good or should I just swap everything to a 1366 or continue my reign with AMD as I have over the years. If I stay with amd can you recommend me a kick a$$ system say under budget of $750. 00

Thanks
