Stable overclock x6 1090t 4,0 - 4,2 thuban, Anyone?

Hello Everyone

Just bought and build this rig for a week ago. All parts are new. I have tried to overclock mine to 4.0 or 4.2 ghz Thuban and it crashed on Prime95 64bit and Linx within 1-10 min. What do I do wrong?

My Rig:
Amd Phenom X6 1090T, Thuban , Revision PH - E0
Gigabyte 870A-UD3
Corsair Xms3 2*4 gig DDR3 1600
630 watt PSU
Win7 64 bit
Cpu cooler = mugen 2

Have tried OC simple as:
Disable turbo mode
20x multiply
core voltage like 1,4 - 1,5.

But the system just rebooted or blue screen. What do I do wrong?
Help me out what I shall do.

Try with increased bus clock and lower multiplier (higher multipliers sometimes crap out)
or up to 1.55V, should be fine on air

Hey

I have tried multiply with 18x and 16x and increase the bus clock.
So i get around 4ghz not more. And 1,5- 1,55V. And it still crash on Prime95 after couple of minute.

what do I do wrong ?

What are your temperatures?
Cooler usually means better stability
try bus speed 250 x16 multiplier at 1.45-1.475v. don't forget to reduce ht link and NB frequency, ram timings. get it stable first then after that we'll OC that NB

Temp is 22-25 idle
Load temp 35-40

Edit:
I dont have any problem with the temp. its very frosty my build. 8 Fan running full speed and Cpu cooler MUGEN 2 does a great job

up your cpu/nb voltage to 1.325
and you nb voltage to 1.2 helped alot of others with stability

Okay Im not sure about your mobo but on mine a fsb vs multi overclock, both work out similarly the same, 20x200 or 225x18. Both take about 1.34 volts with Load Line on or 1.38-1.4 without. Go for the northboard oc first. go upto 2800mhz @ 1.225 (lowest I can get) and go up from there, not too far over 1.3. If you get over 1.3 id got down to 2600mhz.

I have tried X17 and 240 bus 1,5V = Failed after 1-2 min prime or Linx

have tried now 18x + 220 fsb 1,4-1,5 = Failed after 1-2 min prime or Linx

All those setting works on CineBench 64bit.

I have latest Prime95 and Linx also.

Hummm what are Im doing wrong??
