what a long title, any who microcenter is about an hour drive from my place.

Trying to decide if I should go ahead and buy this, either I wait until Guild Wars 2 is almost ready for release. Or I build it now, this is strictly for gaming so no need to go intel for me.

EVGA Superclocked GTX 460
http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0349372

OCZ ModXStream Pro 700w
http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0337645

AMD Phenom II X4 955
http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0325957

ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0330615

Cooler Master Hyper 212
http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0315397

Kingston HyperX 4gb Dual Channel
http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0332847

Comes out to 663 including Tax

+ 80 for a Fractal Design R3 Case

what you guys think?

I would get the 965 but they don't have it in stock

I would also like to know if the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 Motherboard is capable of doing the sli hack for dual gtx 460 in the future?

The computer in your sig is more powerful?

Good looking gaming build. Maybe a better psu.

Looks pretty good, I wouldn't worry about not getting the 965 though... pretty much the same thing as the 955 except 200mhz faster.

If it were me, I would go with a different PSU, maybe different ram.

To be honest, it looks fine to me.

The ram is definitely too expensive for 2x2 1600 c9. Can get that for 50 or less.

can you guys checkout the microcenter site and let me know my alternatives for the ram and psu. I'd like to keep it in the same price range
post #8 of 43
You don't need a 700W PSU for that build. A quality 450-500W would be plenty. OCZ ModXStream's aren't that great to begin with and I certainly wouldn't buy a refurbished one.

Well, if you want to talk price, I would have said Mushkin, but I was talking about brand/performance.

I got a pair of Patriot G2 ram for less.
