IM soooo tempted convince me to or not to go build this right now! - Page 4

thanks! It's a little over my budget + california tax...I hate california tax.

Right now - IF Microcenter agrees to give me the combo deal with CPUs not mentioned in the combo ad

- ASUS M4A89GTD PRO + AMD Phenom II x4 955 - $229.99
- ASUS M4A89GTD PRO + AMD Phenom II x4 970 - $269.99

OR just go with the 1055t + ASUS M4A89GTD PRO - $269.99

Ultimately if I wanted to try my luck I'll pick up the AMD Phenom II x2 560 and if that unlocks I'll use the extra money to buy a better HS.

I do like the idea of getting the PSU and Memory from newegg, so I'll probably order them and use the ones I get from Microcenter until I get the shipment from newegg...

I'm very impatient when it comes to something I want I don't want to make the trip to microcenter and not come out with a full system ready to power up.

Unless you know a friend that works there that
could get you a discount.
Start with NewEgg

I have actually, been on newegg for most of the day and other sites as well. No one has been able to beat the cpu+mobo deals Micro Center is running. The only thing I have gripes on is the memory really and the PSU. The Hyper X Genesis I found at Fry's seems to OC well according to the newegg reviews and is only 5-10 dollars more.

You are under the wrong impression it happened about 3-4 weeks ago when they started announcing it in their newspaper ads.

If you look at online deals, and track it down you will see Dallas isn't the only news paper. Fry's prints the same ad on several cities' newspapers.

Take a looksie. I price matched some sodimm ram from newegg a bit ago, knocked off nearly $28~ off the price for each stick.
