Ahh thx for all the replies...well the problem with 460 is that there are a **** LOAD of them around here. And the best ones are probably out of my reach.
I mean there's probably a difference between buying a PALIT 460 or a Club3d 460(there are A LOT MORE and i'm not prone to knowing which one beats the other...)not only the company logo BUT the SONIC or TWINTECH or whatever.Basically there are more than 20 different 460-s for me to choose from and i'm pretty sure they don't all have the same efficiency.
The other reason being with the card is that yes i understand it's no point buying a outdated card...BUT THESE CARDS WILL BE OUTDATED ANYWAYS.
And i aint gonna want a better card for ANY other game than this one.
Just cause 2 will be the LAST game i'm ever going to play idc how good graphics or how good the new games are going to be...unless those RHETARDS make a just cause 3 which i doubt.
But even if they DO,then the card that could run JC2 on max would never be able to run JC3 on max so nevertheless i don't want to invest too much in a card that i will only be needing to play this game at max graphics.
I just installed the game again though...and as amazing as it seems,it seems to run a lot better when it's installed on the windows directory and with 60 gigs of virtual memory.
I had to reinstall windows cause of a total failure a few months ago and i only just now decided to get this game back on the PC.
I was gonna wait until i get a new GFX card but i'm giving my old one one last try.
And well...the only things i have to turn off to play the game decently is GPU water sim,SOAA,bokeh filter and shadows to medium.
And your telling me those options are SO POWERFUL that i'd have to buy a TOTALLY expensive card WAY better than mine just to have those options enabled?
I'm having it a little hard to believe.
Well i switched my physX processor to CPU too maybe that took a little load off the GPU.
Anyways...i'm just trying to give more information to get better help or advice for my situation.
