What kind of PC are you running. If your running a 775 socket system the 460 has been well known to cause problems with that socket. Just making sure before you buy the card
Oh wow, I had no idea. I would check up on this for sure if I were you - assuming you have a 775 socket.

And i just hit a wall...

I get microstutter i've gone through all the ingame graphics options idk what causes it for the first 5 minutes after installation the game was fine and all of a sudden this **** hit the fan

It's barely noticeable but throughout the whole game even when i'm in the main menu the menu gets stutter and the only thing that SEEMS to remove this is when i enable the highest antialiasing setting and that only SEEMs to fix it ingame not in the menu.

And when i enable that then the FPS goes considerably lower than it does with 8x CSAA but the only problem is that with 8x CSAA i get stutter, also with 16x CSAA...the only one i don't get stutter with is 16xQ CSAA and that one drops my fps...UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

EDIT:Had to enable vsync in Nvidia panel+30fps cap to remove the stutter...can't believe this **** lmao, vsync ruins all games in my opinion.

OH MY GOD,VSYNC REMOVES STUTTER BUT TOTALLY ****S UP MY FPS...i'm seriously sick of these ******* pathetic games that nobody knows how to properly program or drivers i don't know it's just sad...It's unplayable either way...****en sad,i just don't have anything else to say.

or u could try running game at lower res with ur card...
i used to max out jc2 with constant 25+fps with my old 9600gt(zotac amp! edition 512mb)
at 1024x768 res......it still gives u the eye candy and gameplay......just a suggestion though....
for eg see my sig my monitor can do 1280x1024 max @60 hz...so i can play any game with loads of fps with my gtx 460 at this res(except metro of course)......

have u tried turning vsync off ingame...just search google u will see that vsync is causing stuttering and lags in this game...i too have experienced it and it vanished once i disabled vsync.....
but if u get screen tearing and want vsync then force it through d3doverride tool and not ingame setting.....

No dude ...

First off,Nvidia global Vsync option Force off/force on overrides any application setting, and i had that on FORCE OFF,which means that vsync was DISABLED.

NOW,i had EXTREME microstutter.

I had NO FPS LAG,FPS WAS GREAT!

But the game stuttered every 1-2 seconds,it was almost unnoticeable but it was constant and very ANNOYING.

I was looking for fixes for this and i tried turning VSYNC ON.

Now at first i turned it on in the game and nothing happened, then i realized that my NVIDIA force off vsync was overriding it.

So i turned it from nvidia panel to use the application setting.

Now i was able to enable Vsync in the game and guess what?

No more stutter...but EXTREME FPS HIT.

So no matter which way i play it it's going to be uncomfortable to say the least...

Without Vsync i have SERIOUSLY good FPS,but the whole game stutters...and i mean the WHOLE game.

As soon as the main screen loads all the background animations already stutter and also the menu animations.

The only fix i've found so far is turning on Vsync which kills the perfect fps...

But the stutter was not much better.

Gahhh.

And what's the difference between forcing the Vsync on with d3doverrider or just enabling it and turning on triple buffer in Nvidia control panel?

i beleive nvidia control panel settings only effect opengl settings and not direct x so its better if u would use this tool to force it on or off and remember to force triple buffering too with vsync....
this
http://www.mediafire.com/?2zzymudjfbh
it forces vsync and triple buffering for direct x

and can u tell me if the stuttering happens in other games too apart from jc2???
coz if its happening in every game then it might be a driver issue....
