I have, I sent ASUS an RMA request about a week ago.. my email was not replied. I also called, only to be told "we'll call you back". Never got a call back either.. i'm just being patient and waiting.

The chip is probably voltage hungry, bad board or not, but definitely get a working board that you can trust or you'll never know what settings really need adjusting.

Will do, I'll call again tomorrow. Never dealt with ASUS before so I don't know how long this is gonna take. Thanks for the help. I have a few offers for the i7 920 already, any idea on what the minimum price I should take is?

Depends who's buying I guess . I've been through a stack of 920s and a few 930s, usually sold for around $200 locally but that was before SB chips released. Probably $160-180ish now, depending.

I'd get on Asus's case. I'm used to getting RMAs on the first call, guess Evga spoils people on support.

I'd try your current chip in the new board before deciding to sell. No guarantee the new chip you buy will be better, could even be worse.

I've called asus before. Just call them back until they pick up. Their phone system is all messed up the guy said they were doing renovations to their lines/system or something. Just call until someone picks up, when someone did answer they were VERY helpful.

That is my plan, I'm hoping I can get this board RMAed within the next 2 weeks.. but that's a stretch

I blame the MB. Most D0's are very good at clocking, actually 3.6 is the lowest I've seen

Have you reduced the QPI multi? Keep it below 4000 for sure, but below 3600 for now to be safe.

Try lowering the CPU multi at first so you can be sure everything else (RAM, QPI, uncore) is stable at your current BCLK. Run P95, select Blend, but then select Custom so that Custom populates w/ Blend's settings. Then adjust the fft time to 3mins, and set the RAM usage to 4096MB. Running it this way lets you get through all the fft sizes in about 2hrs and runs it hotter than just plain Blend. If it completes the cycle (you'll see 1024k again) then keep pushing the BCLK. If you get a failure try tweaking VTT (sometimes less is better for a given speed). Once you get dialed in you can increase the fft time to 7 and eventually 15mins and run it for at least a complete cycle (10hrs or so).

Once you are sure everything else is stable increase the CPU multi back up, and tweak using vcore until stable (follow the same custom P95 settings above).

Hope this helps!
