I'd get this...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371039

Plenty of power there, and a quality PSU at that. Plus the fan controllers are pretty ba even though you'll probably never touch em.

Free shipping as well

When are you planning to build? I'd probably recommend a 1200W from a reputable company like Antec, Corsair, or Seasonic.

This is modular so you won't have loose cables to tidy up.

prettey much a psu that can run quad 6970's, gigabyte g1 assassain, i7 990X, etc.

1 6970 has a 6 pin and 8 pin connector, so the psu needs to have at least 4 of each. thanks

This one has 4x6pin, and 4x (6+2) pin.

Or this one, but it seems to have slightly more negative reviews (shorter cables, wonky cable ends) and it is only silver rated.

This is exactly what you're looking for. It has 8x 6+2 pin pci-e power connectors, and is the best PSU on the market right now.

With scale and 6970 is a 250w GPU, a solid 1200+ unit is the way to go. Take a look at the Corsair ax1200 (6 x 6+2-Pin) or Antec HCP-1200 (8 x 6+2-Pin).

Get 3 6970s, a forth one gives no benefit, and on games that use it's not scaled well. 3 6970s scale much better.
