You are obviously lacking the need for multiple windows. A single monitor at 1920x**** resolution just will not cut it for multitasking.

Good points so far, with two Dell U2410's I would probably put it one right in front with the other sort of angled off, so multitasking could still be done.

How come there's no love for eyefinity? I am aware of the fact that the U2311 would have a lower quality panel and less input options, but at the moment I don't plan on doing any photography or graphics work on the monitors.

well eyefinity is amazing for gaming, games like dead space 2 are out of this world in eyefinity (pun intended) but doing browsing etc and just general windows stuff is a bit of a pain.

I love eyefinity but I think the U2410s are still the best choice. Just buy a third one later on. wink.gif

Eyefinity is great. It's just that it's such a performance hog... Running 5760x1080. But.. It's worth it.

IMO, any one of the 3 options would be great. smile.gif

It won't be a pain.. headscratch.gif

Why would the bezels bother you? The screens act as separate panels. Maximizing a window would only maximize it to a single panel. Just like with one screen. The bezels never interfere with anything. In fact, I like them... They help divide the screens up.

Yea, I really liked the aspect of eyefinity once I saw it. I am currently leaning towards either 3 x U2311H or 2 x U2410 and purchasing another down the road. However between the two, I would probably go with the U2311's since they are a bit cheaper and although money isn't a huge issue. It should still be considered! (no one wants to spend more money than they have to tongue.gif) I am already aware of the advantages to the U2410 such as:

- 16:10 aspect ratio
- more connectivity options
- included card reader
- 1" larger diagonally
- wider colour gamut
- slightly higher vertical resolution
- higher cd/m^2 (brighter)
- 8 bit panel

But are all these features worth an extra $200 per monitor? If someone could rationalize all these benefits, I will definitely consider the U2410 over the U2311. However, if the features are not worth the $200 extra then my original choice of the U2311's will probably be what I go with.

I think the 3x u2311 sounds very good at this point. smile.gif

You will not be disappointed..

Thanks guys, plan on going with 3 x U2311H. Seems like the best choice since mismatched monitors for the one large would probably annoy me sooner or later.

Please let me know how you get on - I am thinking of getting the exact same setup! Either those 3 u2311h's or 3 larger 1080p tv's, which will be cool too.

I don't think im a serious enough of a gamer either, I just like getting the best that I can. I have used a 24" TN 1920x1080 monitor as my main for a while and it seems fairly large. If I dropped down to 23" I don't think it would be too bad. Also the resolution doesn't bother me as much as it does to other people. Also if I had eyefinity, I feel it would help alot in school work such as browsing, writing reports, and doing hw with multiple pdf's and websites open.

I had considered getting a 30" middle screen in landscape and 2 22/23" monitors in portrait, however its ridiculously expensive for the 30". If it was around 1100, I would consider it, however at 1400 on sale I cant justify it. Also eyefinity wouldn't be able to support it, theres no support for PLP at the moment, I just would like the side monitors for extra tasks.

Let's be honest, if you had 3 U2311H's in eyefinity/surround you would not be wasting time doing homework
