just finished putting an HTPC together
e6320 // hd4850.hdmi // 4gb ddr2 //

problem> from cmos boot to desktop the hdmi connection wont fill to fullscreen...(1920x1080) and still its like 37" only vs 40" Im guessing its the vid card....SO (edit.fiddled with resolution and still no dice)

should I go get me a 5450 instead? I have an MC near me...so I can do it in the morning...have installed boxee and hulu desktop...and it looks really good...Im kinda new to this...btw I have installed the newest catalyst and have audio via hdmi

open up catalyst control panel..... go to 'my digital flat panels' --- scaling options --- now adjust the slider until you have the desired result.

+rep...apparently I was skeptical about this since the video seems to be shrunk from cmos screen boot > win7 startup > thanks a bunch!

>I fiddled with the overscan...scaling options...it was set @5% (from 0-15%
>I will try to reboot and see if it defaults...
