Yea id say it will cost you 75-125 to get them to replace the socket depending on how much dammage you did to it. And it might be worth just getting a new board depending how much you spent on the board.

lol

You can be assured Gigabyte won't do anything with it until the B3 chips come in at the very least.

all i have to say is that LGA 1366 pins are not very hard to put back straight. honestly it should really only take a small instrument and 5 minutes. after that, you probably have a pin that is incredibly weak from A) lots of man handling, or B ) you messed it up BAD when you bent it.

OP this should be an easy fix....just give it a careful whirl

Well, to follow up on my situation it appears I will be refunded my money after explaning in detail as to why I should be entitled a refund. I didn't recieve much support from the OCN community save a few who offered to maybe help fix up my board in the event I should have to keep it. I feel somewhat good as accidents do happen and Newegg subscribed to basic logic. Regardless of state, the board was defective from the manufacturer, and as a recall was issued I could have used the board as a frisbee and it would not have mattered, period, end of discussion..............
