Pretty much a lot of companies have a really crappy engineering team when it comes to laptops. I have taken apart a good deal of laptops where the engineering flaws were atrocious.

Yeah I know, just saying if your hoping to lower the temps, a cooling pad won't help because of how they are structured.

true, mine idles around 70c just on the net gaming it can go up to 120c(rarely) on the core 2 quad not the i7 but i think the new design will be lower

Thats pretty high, have you tried replacing the thermalpaste? Might lower your temps some. I am not sure about the G51 though, never worked on that model.

oh, i just had to blow the dust out of my fan it dropped it like 20c

was said -Honestly, I would go with the G53, carrying a 17.3 inch laptop is really painful, even if it works


I want to game at 1080 on a laptop! Then bigger the screen the better! Also for other work on pc. 17'' screen a must! Too carry, so what man or mouse?

Had one for years no prob. And if your coming from desktop that would be the minimum
