I want to game at 1080 on a laptop! Then bigger the screen the better! Also for other work on pc. 17'' screen a must! Too carry, so what man or mouse?

Had one for years no prob. And if your coming from desktop that would be the minimum
my 15.6 is like 12.2lbs it get really heavy after carrying for a while the 17 is more

I picked up an Asus G73JH-A1 on Amazon about 5 months ago or so and so far it's been perfect.

i7 720QM
8GB DDR3 1333
BD-ROM Combo drive
2x 500GB Seagate 7200 RPM drives
5870m
1080p LED-LCD

i will note the minor issues's i've had:
once in a while the keyboard will miss a keypress, it's a known issue, there are a few fixes out in the wild but nothing that fixes it 100%

no raid support in the bios - not an issue really, just a minor con (for me anyway)

They used junk Hynix RAM!! that actually made me angry when i noticed that.
my friend has the best buy version and it's got crucial ram in it.

no issues with GSOD's, No issues with temps, every thing has been great so far, it handles everything i throw at it.

on other forums with threads dedicated to g73's, it seems the best buy versions have a higher failure rate than , the more expensive premium versions sold by online retailers

Probably, they also have the worst warranty out of all the other retailers. If you have to RMA, you have to pay for your own shipping too, with other ones you ASUS gives you an RMA prepaid label.

tl;dr Buy the g73
I wasn't basing off of those two experiences. Its a widespread issue whether or not you know that I know because of those two.

Also the first thing I had them do was change the drivers and update the card to a modified firmware. Doesn't help the 110C load temps.

On a side note I did start looking at the Sager NP8130.

Probably a better choice, I would choose it over the G53 personally. No idea if it has been fixed sandy bridge though.
