overclocking my 965 - Page 2

i don't think your ready to oc though fsb. just learn how to oc using your muliplier and vcore. temp's don't even matter at idle. i think you'll find that when you run a stress test of any kind it's going to fail. figure out how to set your vcore to manual.

If this image helps... Make sure the AI overclock tuner is set to manual so you can change all the other settings. For FSB you will have to manually type in the values

These sound like your idle temps. You need to stress your CPU to test for stability. Download a program called Prime95 (you've probably heard of it or have it already) and run the 'blend' test. Watch your temps closely. If you get anywhere near 60c shut down the test and lower your voltage.

With water cooling you should be able to do more than 1.45v though. 4.0ghz or more should be easily possible with your setup.

It's not that difficult. And it's MUCH better than simply overclocking using multi's and voltage bumps.

All he needs to do is increase his fsb in small steps.

I don't recommend overclocking too far with that mobo
MSI board... not good quality VRMs... they easily blow up with high TDP processors overclocked with higher voltages
Stay at 1.425V or below

Do I see "auto" CPU VDD?
You reached 4.1Ghz at stock volts!?
Must be the watercooling, keeping things cool apparently makes Phenom II reach better overclocks at lower volts...

I have the feeling he hasn't stressed his CPU yet.

But even to post at such low voltages is fairly impressive.

Have you tried using the +/- keys to change the volts?
