well, I suppose it could be it but as iv said I doubt it. what I don't get is how the card fell out, it must have not been correctly seated.

I took out the HDD, and it still wouldn't get past the bios screen.

What would happen if I plugged the video card in while the PC was running?

it would probably break it not to mention potentially damaging your MB. just unplug it, take battery out and leave it for about 5 minutes to make sure it completely discharges and see what happens.

Kind of like how if you shake a hard drive while it is running it will mess it up.
that's hardly the same thing, the xbox's disc reader head is designed to be able to move to re-focus the laser, poor bearings make it able to hit the discs and cause damage. I do know what im talking about

if the graphics card came out at an angle its possible some of the pins shorted and fried the MB (not likely but possible). I would also recommend re-seating the ram. although i doubt it was (physically) damaged in the fall it's possible it was jarred loose in the slot.

i would reseat all connectors and disconnect and reconnect all wires.

i would then remove cmos battery for about a minute (with psu unplugged) then when everything was plugged back in and all wires were reconnected i would try to boot. if it still does not boot, you may try to rma your motherboard.
