Think I should fill the res all the way up to prevent air if it gets knocked around? My first step into water cooling so I will probably have more questions.
I found This tubing at $1.19 a foot
Koolance Tubing Blue PVC 1/4" ID
Think maybe 6 feet will give me enough? But this is a down the road decision.... I doubt my wife will like me redoing it again after I just got it in and working.
Don't fill the res all the way up. A little breathing room is nice and it makes it easy to check and make sure flow is good. Really, I usually ran it about half to 2/3rds full. Even if some air gets anywhere else, after a few on/off cycles and some time it will work its way up. If not, just rotate your whole case a time or two after a week and it will. You've probably got most of it out, though.
Length, ohh I have no clue. It was some time ago. What exactly are you trying to do, just refit the lines that were on there? There was probably only ~4feet on the system when I gave it to you. 6 feet should be good and give you extra. I'd hate to wait because you're like an inch short from some $1/ft tubing. Don't know much about that tubing--I have used Tygon and PrimoChill in the past. I actually have some PrimoChill Blue hosing that I'm currently using, I like it a lot. It makes bends very well without using anti-kink.
