560 ti is technically faster than the 470gtx right? because of the 200mhz extra on core? correct?

But shouldnt 470gtx SLI beat 560 ti SLI? because of the extra memory and bandwidth, the 470gtx should have a higher cap for Resolution, textures, and AA? Am i correct on this?

now say i overclock 470gtx to 700mhz vs 560ti at 900mhz. (another 200mhz difference)

if both are SLI and at 1080P with 4-8X AA (i cant tell the difference anyways) in newer games. will the 470 SLI be a better choice.

this isnt for me, its for my friend. he is choosing between the 560 and 470. I recommended the 470 because i think it will be better for SLI since it will have more RAM.

I think even if the 560 is faster, at a certain res/AA settings, the 470gtx would pull ahead. Am i correct on this too?

Thanks!

Go 560 it runs cooler, much better choice than the 470.

The extra memory and bandwidth will only be important if you are looking to max out AA and AF. However in strictly rendering texture and polygons then i would agree witht he above poster.

ps: you can edit your post. look at the bottom right corner of the post you made, helps you prevent the need to double post.

You cant.
But if a SLI a card with 768 MB of ram and a card with 1024 MB of ram, the second card with 1 GB will only use 768 MB or its RAM.

yeah i understand that, what i meant was the extra 256MB and extra bandwidth that the 470 had over the 560. That would it provide an advantage at around 1080 at 4-8X AA. Maybe 16x but i really don't see a difference even going from 4 to 8 in my games.

At what resolution and AA do you guys think the 470 would have an advantage over the 560?
