I don't think retailers actually handle the RMA, it all goes back to Dell. I bought a Dell U2311H IPS from Aria a few days ago and their warranty statement is that of Dell's.

They can have their own replacement plan so the buyer doesnt have to bother with the manufacture. Just like you where to go to a brick & mortar to take back a busted tv. They would swap it out for another.
