I wish people would just reinstall their OS each time they switch cards. Its as simple as that.
"But mommy I don't want to have to do that, too much work even though I am sitting in temp controlled environment in a comfy computer chair!"
you know i've heard some dumb things in my life, and most of it comes from OCN, and this is definitely one that is in the top 10. is it seriously TOO MUCH to expect microsoft or nvidia/amd to come out with an uninstall program that works?
and for all saying it is a pebkac error, what is your basis? what makes you think this is the problem?
simply stating it is somehow a users problem, isn't help, it rabid fanboism.
i simply don't buy ati/amd graphics cards for one reason, cause for the last 10 years, their drivers have been bad. i'm not loyal to nvidia cause of some misplaced notion, they've done me good, their cards nor drivers have never let me down. everytime i go to purchase a new graphics card, i do research on them, and i still find a lot of "help, driver issue ATI".
if it makes me a fanboy cause i want to choose a product that actually works and company that produces something of quality, then i'm a fanboy.
