EDIT: Does it display when it's the only GPU?
yes it displays when its the only GPU. I tried a flash but it didnt seem to work. Should i do the latest bios or the one that says that fixes the problem?

I hope i dont have to flash the card just to do this... As of now i am formatting and will be using my laptop for now. I also noticed that the network isnt being connected to the interent with only my computer.
As far as the network connecting, is it the onboard network card? If so, is there a link light? Reason i'm asking, is i have had the onboard network port stop working a couple times on my 890 board. I finally figured out, if i shut off the computer, uplug the power and hold the power button on the case in for 20 seconds (drains flea power from motherboard). Then plug the power back in and power back up it will start working. It is weird... only happened 2 time in about a year......

Hi me and my bro have this MoBo (he has a GTX 275 and a 9600GT). According to him flashing to the latest BETA BIOS enabled him to see both cards in device manager (and to use the 9600GT for PhysX).

AS USUAL BE CAREFUL as it is a BETA BIOS (however we have been using it with out incident). This SHOULD help you with your issues as before this he could not get both GPU's to be visible. Good luck.

Thanx.

Hey buddy, I was just reading over this thread and I remember seeing something in the bios history when I was updating this board. It seems there is a bios that say "Fixed multiple nvidia gpu error", or something like that, so I would try and update your bios to the latest. I'll give you a link, just give me a sec.

EDIT: Okay, use this link to fill out your OS info, and go to the "Utilities" section, then scroll down until you see "ASUS Update V7.18.03 for Windows XP 32bit/XP 64bit/Vista 32bit/Vista 64bit/7 32bit/7 64bit", then download that. That program will update the bios from windows for you, just don't touch anything when it is updating and you should be fine.

The reason it might not be working is because you don't have this bios "M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 BIOS 1606
Fix the issue that system may be unable to detect the VGA card in PCIEX16_1 slot When using two NVIDIA VGA cards."
