Need help in deciding a phone.

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I'm eligible for an upgrade and I'm wondering what phone should I choose. Right now I'm with Bell and I was preferably looking to get a smartphone.

On the iPhone- I get no discount, however
On any other smartphone (HTC, Galaxy, etc)- I get $100 in store credit.

So what would be a good phone from the Bell selection?

Thanks,
My system

Honestly i would stay away from apple they have waaaayyyy to many problems to count. My brother just got the htc desire z and it's a pretty awsome phone if you don't mind phones with slide out keyboards. Otherwise any phone with android on it is a great choice

I don't know if your carrier has it but the HTC HD2, it probably is the most hacked phone (winmo 7 and android in dual boot FTW) of this generation and has similar hardware to the top end phones right now (unless I missed the dual cores releases).

Basically, it is between:
-iphone 4
-HTC desire z
-HTC desire HD
-HTC HD7
-HTC HD2
-Samsung Galaxy S
-LG optimus

I say the HD2 because of the sheer amount of hacking that is available to you. If you aren't into tinkering I'd go with the HTC HD7, Winmo 7 is a very nice OS and if you want android there most likely be ports for it down the line anyway.

If you can wait, it may be worth your while doing it, although the gains these new phones are bringing don't seem to be worth it

I have a Vibrant (galaxy S) and love it. The screen is so great and it is very fast. I would say it has the best development team releasing great mods. All the galaxy S phones have great mods. Cant go wrong, But being locked in for 2 years is harsh. Sometimes its cheaper to go pre paid and buy the phone craigslist. Unless Tmobile sucks in your area. Android FTW!

I would personally wait until September when more powerful phones hit the market. But out of the 3, I would go with the Desire Z since I'm a fan of both HTC and Android. It also has good Developer's support in case you decide to root your phone.
