[AMD] What to Expect From AMD at ISSCC 2011 - Page 3

Yeah the pdf on the first page says 3.15pm, just humour us people who only have one time zone per country, can we assume that time is Pacific time, since the conference is in San Francisco? Or do they work off some centralised time, since it's an international event?

If as I believe it's Pacific time then we have to wait 5 1/4 hrs, just for clarification?

yes it will be pacific time.

not sure if it will be as informative about new bulldozer info as everyone is hoping for though.

For 2011, the Conference theme is Electronics for Healthy Living, highlighting an important direction for the conference, involving integrated circuits for biomedical systems.
I believe GDC on the 1st will be more geared towards what we all want to hear/see which is info and a demo of bulldozer.

I guess it wasn't that spectacular after all or there would be a lot of buzz about it.

No, any extrapolation based on the data you have so far will be wrong.

Nothing that will matter to 99% of the people here. No benchmarks, no launch data, no SKUs, no clock speeds. This was a technology discussion about the design, nothing more.

Way to put words in the guys mouth.

He was talking about server processors first of all, and second, he meant "faster than 2.5ghz" not "4ghz stock." I.e. faster than the current 8 and 12 core server parts, not faster than current Phenom IIs.

I actually want to hear about the design. I'm sure there are more as well. Will there be anything posted on the blog this week?
