How to change your Windows XP Volume Licensing product key! - Page 2

I've never had this problem, i've seen it happen on a pc once that had a legit version of windows xp running, however strangely enough i'm surprised that alot of people are providing other options for programs that I wouldn't even let my grandma try (or grandpa). Not because they wouldn't know how to use it with proper instructions, but because I wouldn't think it's safe in the long run.

Simple registry function and windows xp run command is quite simple for me. I know my basic way around the registry and I just want to say man, i'm impressed at the simplistically inclined detail but detail it is, in how you wrote this.

Prop's to making this faq! And + rep for ya!

Yes I have found using programs can be potentially dangerous due to the fact they can change ther registry entried you dont know about thus being a kind of adware or spyware..Doing it manually yourself keeps those nasty things out. Im glad you like the FAQ mate...Enjoy.

Those that are experienced in "Registry Editing Ways" understand the danger of playing around in the registry, and don't waste time and expose their systems to unnecessary risk when a superior freeware program is available.

But then, there's no point in writing a FAQ about that, is there ?
It does, if you're like me and you don't like having a lot of junk on your computer like jellybeancounter or *** ever it is. Changing the registry is barely risky if you do it right...so I don't have to worry. I do it right. hahaah.
