What are YOUR plan's for Bulldozer - Page 6

Provided its FPU performance is better(I do a lot of x264 encoding so this is my main concern) than Sandy Bridge/Gainstown then I will most likely jump ship and get the most no of cores I can afford. Preferably a Opteron chip but I am not sure if AM3+ Opty's are going to be redily avialable

I'm going to grab a Phenom 955be.. I'm guessing there prices should crash and it's a nice cheap upgrade for my system.

Take over the world.

I've already named it "Twelve" after the Twelve Imams. Anyway...

-AMD Zambezi 8 core (is this the right code name?)
-8 or 16GB of DDR3-1866 memory
-990fx motherboard (any recommendations on the brand?)
-120GB Vertex 3 SSD
-2 x 2TB HDD for content
-AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB (I plan to unlock it if at all possible)
-Not sure which case or PSU yet, my brother has a HAF922 and it is massive. I was hoping for something a bit smaller, like a CM-690 or Antec Three Hundred. Any recommendations for case and power supply?
-New keyboard (MS SideWinder X4 looks nice)
-A cheap Asus monitor, I'll be using my TV for most non-gaming things anyway.

In total, I'd like to keep the cost below $1400 but we will see.
