There is a difference, you just don't notice one since you only have a mid-high end card. If you had a 580 or an sli setup you would see your gpu usage spike in any cpu intensive game.
It depends how you set your games up. Maybe not with Tri-SLI or two ultra-high end cards, but look up any test that shows FPS/resolution on different platforms with high-demand games and a single card or SLI/X-Fire. With high settings at about 2560, they all converge to the same FPS, 'cause it becomes GPU limited.
If you have a 3.0 dual core, or stay at or below 1080p depending on FSAA, it's a different story.Edited by 2thAche - 2/21/11 at 6:11am
