DDR2 is the minimum for decent gaming ram.

why do you want ddr1 ram?
mushkin or corsair imo, they're all pretty much the same..

What?

RAM is RAM, there are faster sticks on certain architectures than others.
What are your other system specs?

Usually you want CAS2 with 1T at bare minmum DDR400.
That being said, your money might be better spent on a full platform upgrade.
