New HTPC build won't start; ideas? - Page 2

Just took everything apart and put it back together, squealing remains. It's only after it's been powered down though, it seems. Everything was and is secure now though.

What could possibly be causing this? Poor PSU? Should I look into an RMA/replacement?

sounds like it has bad capacitors...I would test the volts on load with a multimeter if you know how...???what model PSU are you using?

Hmm... don't have a multimeter, but it's a Corsair CX430.
