when you set it to 1.6v in bios to get 1.45 under load it's not the chip
even on idle it's at 1.52
I don't see how they fail to put LLC on a $140 board
There's cheaper boards that have LLC

I don't mean to start anything but have not seen you in this thread a whole bunch, so I just have a question are you here just to knock the board or to learn and help?

I don't mean anything bad by it just wanted to understand where you are at

I don't see one P II at 4.5ghz or 4.8 or 5ghz that is truly 100% stable but were this board truly falls a little (little) short is the cpu/nb feq. if the board is able to get to cpu/nb 3000mhz that is where the p II shines but 2800mhz is nothing t sneeze at! The AMD chip is broken up in to two different ways and the memory controller is the best way to see performance then the cpu feq. just stop trying to hit 5ghz and work on the nb feq. and you will see the big difference in your FPS and Benches
This is good info Brad, have you been able to get yours at 3000mhz nb? and Phase changing is a type of cooling right ?

I did get it to 3000mhz but my ram screws me (DAM DAM DAM RAM) lol
and yes Phase changing is very cold (very cold indeed -150c or more)

Wow no phase changing for me, but I do think in the next couple of weeks I'm gonna try and lap the cpu and this H50 when I do the res mod to it and I have never got it to post at 3000 only at 2800mhz so I guess it could be my ram being I try to keep tight timings on them

and the reason this board has not certain things that others have is the same reason we all bought this board, and that is Nvidia!!! The chip-set is not AMD it is Nvidia and will not ever be the same as the crosshair which starts at 200 and the extreme is 299~399 depending where you buy it so that 140 is cheap in comparison. MSI als makes the Fusion but it did not get the greatest reviews but again it was 199

you need to loosen them to get it to post at 3000 at least I did, and I did not like certain things at 3000, the system started faster but games sucked ARMA II went from 64fps avg. to 46fps avg. so back to 2800 and tight timings and right back to 64fps

my vcore is set to 1.6 in bios
I hate this POS board
Added, and welcome! Hope the Vdroop doesn't turn you off the board's other great feature.
