i sure am having troubles holding a 4ghz per core clock..any help would be helping others cuz im the goto guy in my circle..thank you

Like damocash mentioned, Vdroop is a huge problem with this board. There are some links in the OP that might help; but regardless, you're going to have to push the Vcore and Vnb pretty high to get it stable at 4Ghz under load.

Well, crap. My computer is dead, so I'm no longer running this board (currently posting from a cobbled-together computer using older parts). Can't afford a new one at this time, since I just started a new job. I'll keep poking in the thread, but for the moment I am no longer an M4N98TD EVO owner. frown.gif

Ok, so I have been playing with the system for a while now and am stable at 3.8 GHz, but I want to hit 4. I have left almost all BIOS settings at default. I only disabled CNQ and C1E while bumping the multiplier to 19.0 and the voltage to 1.50. As soon as I alter either the multi or FSB I go BSOD. I have tried taking the voltage as high as 1.6 which droops to 1.5. My temps are good never over 54 C, but vdroop is horrible. I go as low as 1.424 running P95. I am still a total noob to overclocking, so any help is appreciated.

I never managed to get my 970 higher than 3.8Ghz stable; though I was running at 3.9Ghz for a while.
