hey question with 1.65volts is the reason the heat or the volts that no one pushes it up there? I have water and stay very good as far as temps but needed to know if volts can be harmful to? and also nvcc works as far as vdroop???? if so I would love to hear about were people are doing that
It's actually a combination of both heat issues and current leakage. With Deneb cores, and I'm assuming Thuban cores as well, current leakage isn't as much of an issue due to improvements in the manufacturing process, and those procs can handle higher voltages. I've heard of people going as high as 1.9v; but that sounds excessive, and definitely not something you'd want to run 24/7. Most of the discussions I've seen accept 1.55v as a safe voltage for 24/7 operation.
