To Ambitious?

Thread Starter
I purchased the XSPC Rasa RS360 Kit then added 2 XFX HD6950’s plus EK FC blocks with bridge then purchased a RS240. My loop is Pump -> RS360 -> CPU -> RS240 -> HD6950’s Bridge -> Res. Just set everything up and leak tested overnight. Hooked everything up and fired up the computer…. Entered BIOS and looked at PC health. My temp is increasing 1 degree C every 1-2 sec from the time I post and enter bios (by the time I enter PC Health Check I am at 50 degrees and rising). I have re-reseated the CPU and block 3 times already and nothing has changed. Have tipped the computer to every angle to hope it may have been an air bubble or something and yet again nothing. This last time I went ahead and was squeezing the hoses while everything was running. When I did this the CPU temp would fall then rise once I stopped squeezing.

This leads me into my series of questions, am I to ambitious to believe the pump in the kit is enough?

2nd question, does it matter if I have the Rasa block upside down (meaning the letters that say “In” and “Out” are upside down)? I have kept the original in and out as the correct orientation but made this easier to plumb.

Final question: Any suggestions or ideas on what I can / should do?

Thanks to all in advance!

Check your load temps and let me know if you're still disappointed.

Don't want to try installing Windows if my CPU is increasing like it is in BIOS window. Just during post and entering the BIOS the CPU temp is close to 50 degrees C and will hit 60 degrees about 5-7 sec after looking at the temp in BIOS.

Underclock the CPU temporarily if you're worried, then install windows.
I'm almost 99% sure your mobo just isn't reading the temps correctly.. try flashing the latest BIOS.

That doesn't really explain the drop in temp if I artificially move water throughout the loop (ie squeezing the tubing).

However lets underclock and see what happens

I still think it is the pump... Spent 30 min just staring at the res. A micro bubble would rise from the tube and was barely pushed in the tank. Rather just rose to the top. Any secrets on trying to determine the flow rate through the loop?

No secrets without hardware to measure it as far as I know. That being said if this is a new loop, I assume you still have air in it, and you should be able to see them passing through the tubing? I thought the kit defaulted to clear tubing or am I wrong?

There is noise, but I cannot see if a propeller is moving or not. As for the tubing yes the default is clear but I am using some red tubing (primochill).

And answering the other question, yes this is a new loop and I am getting the last few bubbles and such out.

you can unhook the pump and see if it moves water.
