Noise!

Thread Starter
hi guys I just put together my comp

Specs.
AMD 1100T x6
MSI 890FXA GD70 Mobo
16gb Corsair XMS DDR3
ATI HD 5770 GFX
500W PSU
Thermal V3 Case

out of scale 1 to 10 the noise level coming from CPU fan is 5

running anywhere 30C-47C not overclocked.

is there anyway to lower the noise w/o upgrading CPU cooler yet?

I don't plan on overclocking until after a month ish making sure nothing goes bad and I don't have to RMA anything.

Not sure if this is the right section. Since it's the CPU fan I figured maybe under CPU.

it maybe cool n quiet throtling the cpu fan,you can disable CnQ in the BIOS and the fan will run full speed all the time.

also in your bios ( i have the same board) there is an option forgot what its under... but its either above or below the green power control. you can set the fans maximum fan speed. like if your not stressing the cpu you could do like a 30% min and a 65% max and more then likely get decent enough cooling...

I have CnQ disabled in bios. Is there a possibility anything else I missed in bios?

not really, but go in there and look around again, maybe missed something.check all fan speeds and settings in the bios.

if you want to lower the fan noise, then set your fan speed lower.

CnQ disabled = fan runs at 100% all the time. enable it to lower fan speeds as well. just keep track of your cpu temps.

The stock fan is loud because it is small.

Even if you don't overclock a good aftermarket cooler will yield much better temperatures while being much quieter.
