5770 on a 430 watt Antec true power

Thread Starter
My I5 brother recently got a 6950 (flashed to 6970) and his old 5770 was given to my other brother with a Q6600/4850

How long will that Truepower 430 last with Q6600/5770 setup with 4 hard drives. I know he's had that PSU for at least 2 years.

There is a realistic possibility I'll give my Earthwatts 500 to him before 2011 is over if it comes to it. I could just get a 550 or better PSU and get rid of the Visiontek dedicated PSU from my sig rig then

Yeah, it'll be just fine. Though, the Earthwatts 500w is a better quality PSU all-around. Those were one of my favorite Seasonic-made PSUs.

My last budget build consisted of a 5770, 4 HDDs, a Phenom 965, Antec M4A"xx" and 4GB DDR2, and I bought an Antec case/PSU combo with a 430w Seasonic-made Antec Earthwatts (it was a great deal too, at around $800 for everything.)
Anyway, it's been running with a 24/7 CPU/GPU overclock for about a year now with no issues. I think you'll be just fine.

Should be fine.
My woman's rig works without a hitch on a 400w delta.
