Quake live messed up graphics

ok well this is what it looks like: (playing on my sig rig)


as you can see the graphics looks messed. I reinstalled quake live and it didnt fix it. Im running catalyst 10.6 but I dont think its drivers fault. Can someone please help?

I've had this problem with some openGL games

Bump the texture detail down to high and experiment with different lighting models

Should fix it...

Did you try High textures instead of very high? That was my issue in the openGL games. Very high textures glitched just like that.

that ones vertex and it really dark. some texture spots like under weapons spawns eg the fire textures is messed up and high didnt make a difference

Can't help you then but I'll note one thing

I remember when I played some quake live. A couple of the lighting models looked just like the screenshot I quoted. It's meant to look that way AFAIK. I have absolutely no issues whatsoever in quake live, but the lighting model vertex looks like that for me as well. But I don't have the weird white textures that you have on some of the other lighting models.

This is a curious problem. Missing textures? Possibly?
