OC'ing Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz - Newbie in action!

Hello.

Motherboard: nVidia 650i SLi
Stock Cooler - Will be replaced with a Aftermarket Cooler. Any recommendations?
I have decided to OC my Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz.

In the BIOS I have the following settings I can change (Voltage): Which of these need to be adjusted for me to OC?
CPU Core
CPU FSB
Memory Voltage
Chipset Voltage
FSB - Memorry clock mode

Also theres a function called: Speedstep which does: If enabled, Cpu clock speed and cpu core voltage are adjusted dynamically based on the CPU load. What should I set this to?

I have read that when OC'ing your CPU, you also need to adjust RAM timings. I haven't really been able to understand how the Ratio works, the x2 Multiplication with the Ram, and when to even adjust the timings.

Thanks you for reading my thread. Any help is highly appreciated!

No since your current board is a socket 775 and no I5's are made for that socket

You'll need to improve the FSB and in order for that to increase, you'll also have to in crease the CPU vCore. So if one goes up, the other one goes up to. Try to use less vCore as possible for it makes your CPU really hot. And for the Cooler, I recommend the the Xigmatek HDT-S1283, Best quality, best price and a very well know brand

That motherboard is a socket 1155 and not a 775 as your q8200 is.
So therefore its not compatible.

btw: do us all a favor and fill in your sigrig. To do this go to your usercp (top of the page link) and click add system.

I was asking if the ASUS Mobo worked with the Intel i5. And it does

Back to the reason I asked you guys for help: Overclocking my CPU. The voltages needed are confusing. I understand you Increase FSB. When it becomes unstable, you slightly increase Voltage, until stable. Then continue FSB. Rinse and repeat. But which exactly voltages that need changing is the question.
