Rosewill got a bad rap for their first few series, where they used terrible Deer and Youngyear units that were basically the bottom of the barrel trash you here horror stories about.

Now they've reformed and use ATNG, Sirfa, and a little bit of Solytech (which is Deer's parent company, but Deer is their cheap branch).

They range from mediocre to pretty solid. Nothing fantastic, but aside from a few ATNG ATX1.3 units they aren't that bad.

I don't remember back that far. Do you have a link?

I might have been overestimating the GTX460's power consumption and conflating it with the GTX480 and 470. It hadn't been out for very long at that point.

I constantly reevaluate my stances, and while I would recommend a better power supply than what you have it is a confirmed fact that a GTX460 will run fine on a quality 400W, which your PSU probably qualifies as.

IF you read. I pretty much said it was a GREAT budget PSU. Now that I have money, of course I am going to buy the best brand and tac on an extra 200w because I have the money too.

Just like I upgraded from 4 to 8 GB. I never used that 4GB of ram to begin with.. Same with HDD's. I have 430gb of space filled, and I have more **** than I need on here, but I have 4TB of space. WHY? Because I can.

Im not a hypocrite, I just think Rosewill isn't as bad of a brand as it was claimed to be.

Now would be a good time to update sig rig

@Phaedrus2129

Don't worry about it You've helped me alot in understanding PSU's, which is why I remember you saying I wouldn't be able to runa GTX 460..

Sounds about right.

So you asked OCN for advice and then turned it down anyways? and your psu still works and now youve got some kind of e-peen because of it.

The one thing that annoys me the most is when people ask for advice and then not like what they hear, and thus go on to ask another until they hear what they want to hear.

Im sorry previous members of our community couldnt justify your purchase for you

"HAH, see, my rig didn't blow up yet" sounds like a pretty dangerous game to be playing..

So it lived.
Cool story bro.

"Brand recognition" exists due to quality surrounding that brand.
Rosewill sold garbage units for a few years, and their reputation still contains this stigma as a result.
