graphics card help, what to get?

Heu guys, I'm new here. Just looking for an advice. I'm planning to upgrade my graphics card. I'm running an i7 920 3.8ghz rig with a gtx260. Will it be better to upgrade to a gtx560/570/580? I play on a 24" 1920x1200 monitor. My current gpu is struggling to play BF:2 Bad Company, CoD Black ops, etc. Looking forward for some advice.

For that res a GTX 560 Ti should be enough. But if you want more FPS than the GTX 570 or GTX 580 is fine also it all depends on your budget.

You system is definitely GPU bottlenecked. The 570 would show a great improvement in performance, and a better price/performance ratio than the 580.

The 570 performs quite like the 480, or about like two 260's.

Fill out your system info in USER CP so we can see what you're working with, it really helps . As for graphics I would go AMD/ATI. Lately the 5870 has been as low as $240 which is cheaper than all the cards you mentioned and faster than the 560. If you've got the money, go 570 or 580. Make sure your PSU can handle it etc etc.

Updated my user cp. Is the price difference between the 570 and 580 worth the extra performance in a single monitor 1920x1200 setup?

Was thinking of getting either a gtx570 + an SSD or just get a single gtx 580 and get an ssd later on.

Managed to get some extra money for my grahics card, so I'm going with the gtx 580s. Should I go with the Asus Direct Cu II, MSI Twin Frozr OC or the Gigabyte Windforce 3x. The prices are about the same with the Asus being $30 more expensive. Is the gigabyte windforce cooling good? I don't see GB being talked about as much as MSI's twin frozr.

Just go with the cheapest. The 580 isn't that hot of a card anyway.
