Mechanical Keyboards?

Thread Starter
I've been randomly seeing alot of stuff on the forums about "Mechanical Keyboards"

What the hell are they? And why are they so god damn expensive?

What's so good about them vs a $10 keyboard?

I was looking at some of the guides etc but they have like over 1000 pages, ceeeebs.

mechanical switches instead of dome switches. Better key feel and feedback. Better quality, longer lasting, and they click and sound cool.

While that is a good summary, an in depth view can be found here http://www.overclock.net/keyboards/4...ard-guide.html.
