PC gaming is a lot of rewards for an equal number of headaches.
Yes, games look better and run faster, most of the time, on PC.
And some great games never make it to consoles because of the inherent limitations.
But consoles generally require that you just plug the thing in right.
As far as 360 vs. PC "specs", they are nonsensical. The 360 doesn't have to deal with a bloated OS that marginalizes performance. Neither do they have to deal with hardware or software conflicts or drivers. And the developers for consoles don't have to code their games for a bajillion different hardware configurations either.
To me, a console lover is like a car enthusiast that loves the driving. Whereas a PC lover is like a car enthusiast that loves building their car as well.

[QUOTE='James [a_leon];12464845']Well, what sort of games do you think you'd be interested in playing?[/QUOT

i've never really played any games on the pc. i've always just played on the consoles we've had for the kids, but i like the war type games like Call of Duty, ect. I also would like to get Dead Rising or one of those"dead" games!

Ah, alright. Well, why not pick up an "older" game to play and see how you like using a mouse/keyboard, or see if you need to get yourself a controller. Try something like Call of Duty 4 or World At War. Once you get used to whichever configuration you like, expand onto newer games and see how your hardware fairs, if it's good enough for you or if you want to tackle upgrading to make it prettier.

My Xbox 360 controller for PC works fine for my PC and 360.
You can even use saved games from windows live from either system with a live account.

Basically, consoles are plug and play, PC's require some love.

There's not really a huge difference between a good next gen console game and a PC game. It's more like having the same car but one is dirty and one is clean.

The PC has cleaner and clearer textures, AA, true high-def resolution (even better when the textures are also done in HD) and usually a better draw distance and such. They're all these small things that add up to a better level of visual fidelity. It's not exactly the massive jump that people will have you believe but there's a definite improvement in visual quality.
