1055T Overclocking with M4A89GTD PRO USB3 Help

Okay I just built my sig rig, it's been a really long time since I overclocked. Before I had my i7 and evga classified it was no sweat overclocking that thing. Now I get to AMD I seem to be getting lost. I tried to follow the 1055t guide, but my bios seem so much more different.

Anyway, I'd like to reach 4ghz. I've read a handful of threads now and none seem to be M4a89GTD PRO USB specific. Here is what I have done so far:

- Disabled Turbo Core
- Disabled Cool n Quiet
- Set ram timings to 1333mhz

alot of my bios settings are on auto, I have this option to offset, is it better to leave that on offset or manual? Should I disable C1E?

Sorry for asking for baby steps. Is prime95 large FFTs still the best to stress? What about for monitoring temps and voltages what's the best program nowadays?

What is the max temp for the 1055t when overclocking? or what is a safe temperature to stay below?
So where do we start?

My 1055T is stable with Cool n Queit enabled and C1E,

Get your FSB to 300, down the multiplier on the CPU close to 4000MHz, keep the NB to 3000MHz, get your memory close to 1600MHz with CL7 or CL9

Get CPU VCore to 1.47 or 1.5V, CPU-NB to 1.37 or 1.4V

Your 1055T max tempature is 62C, but errors will start showing when you pass 55C

I should set these voltages manually right or go with offset?(I've never heard of offset until I looked at the bios, don't have a clue on what it is)

lol no worries, make sure your Mosfet's have a heatsink on them, that is a must when overclocking with 6 core CPU's.

And yeah, you will have to manually set the voltage's in your BIOS and the overclock setting's, then see if Windows boot's, If anything goes wrong, you can always clear your CMOS to get it back to normal

alright here's the run down, 6 hours prime Large FFTs

Cpu Freq: 3.81ghz
Multiplier: 13.5
FSB : 282
Dram freq: 1504
Timings: 9-9-9-27 1t
Dram Volts: 1.65

Cpu Voltage 1.38v - on load it was 1.42v
CPU/NB - 1.37

everything else was on Auto

Max temp was 55c but stayed around 52-54c

what should I tweak next?

This may help you out. I have the exact mobo and CPU. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1670546 .. I have Load Line Calibration on, and under load the CPU jumps to 1.500V. NB freq is 2.8ghz, and CPU/NB is 1.300 or 1.325, if I recall correctly.. I actually just posted a thread a few minutes ago, I can run OCCT 1 hour stable, but only a few minutes on Prime95, which is weird because the system is otherwise 100% stable as far as I can tell. I have never had any lockups due to the overclock.

Looks like you need some more CPU volts. But not until you get a better cooler

I'm using HWMonitor also to monitor my temps. With my Prolimateh Armageddon with 2-140mm fans in push/pull config, I don't get above 45º on load.

What are your temps on load?

atm, because it's so god dam hot in this house! I'm getting murdering temps of 60C while running Prime95, but when I'm playing games, It doesn't go higher than 51C

And this is one of the reasons why I need to upgrade my cooling lol

3.9ghz

13.5 x 292

vcore 1.392 - 1.44 on load

temp 53C

going to wait until my venomous x gets here before going higher. Should be here by the end of the week.

I don't want to jack your thread, but I'm having issues right now as well and it may help you too.

I'm running 4ghz no problem. But for the life of me I cannot overclock the northbridge at all. I tried at roughly 2800 NB Freq, upped my voltages generously. I think it went as high as 1.37V CPUNB, brought my RAM up to 1.65, maybe even 1.7 at one point, brought the VDDA up a tad. Never was stable there, so I kept the voltages and dropped one stepping to roughly 2500NB freq. Still would not be stable. Most of the time Prime95 would crash within 10 minutes. One time it lasted an hour, so I'm thinking to myself, maybe I got it? haha, well the second I stopped Prime95 the system crashed.

I went to the lowest 'OC' stepping on the NB at 2280 something, and it felt stable, Prime95 ran for an hour or two. Randomly it will BSOD. Sometimes after a half hour.... today I watched two full movies on Netflix and then it randomly crashed afterwards. It doesn't seem right.

So I dropped back down to 2000mhz for now and kept the voltages for everything not related to CPu on auto. What am I missing here? I have no problem cooling the board, never seen the temps go over 32C at ANY point on the board.

RAM is 1525mhz at rated timings 7-8-7-24..... ideas?

EDIT: I just noticed that I'm running a 1T, and the XMP profile suggests 2T. Maybe this is why?
