During an Electronic Arts event in New York City this Wednesday, we sat down with Valve marketing manager DJ Powers to talk Portal 2, PlayStation 3 development, Steamworks on consoles, and future developments.

On Thursday night, we ran a preview for a new hands-on of the game offered up by Valve on the same night.

After the great deal on Portal, Portal 2 is looking weak in comparison.

If the modding community picks up it'll be worth it.

Dood says 14 - 16 hrs total. SP is 6-8 and Co-op is a completely separate experience and is another 6-8

I'm confused about this game. Portal 1 was a perfect opposite from HL2:Ep2 & TF2 and was the perfect length of time. I'm not sure how much I'd want to play 16 hrs of pure puzzles, no matter how good the comedy. Plus, I've really lost enthusiasm for the whole Half-Life franchise. I want Episode 3, not Portal, or L4D3 or some Warcraft heroes spinoff.

Co-op is okay, but has never been a selling point for me. So yes I should probably have included it. However, as I doubt I will use it I see it as wasted effort, so for me it is a 6 to 8 hour game.
