GTX 470 and an I5 K 655 @ 3.20

After playing around with my new computer, I threw in Crysis and realized I can barely even play the game at 1920 X 1080 without AA on High, getting above 30+ FPS minimum...

So after thinking maybe it was just Crysis, I popped in Dawn of War 2, threw everything up to high/ultra and even lowered shadows (just in case), and it still ran pretty lack luster. I was getting better frames on a Dual Core CPU with a 8800GT it seems like. :\\

I have my 3D Mark scores just in case that will help you guys out. I would be interested in overclocking my card, and I even checked out the program (that I can't remember the name of for the life of me) but with stock cooling and no water/etc I can't stand the sound the fans would make blasting on high.

Those are my scores though, please help. :\\

Your 3Dmark11 score looks fine. Hard to tell since the scores are all so close at this stage anyway though.

Care to run 3Dmark06/Vantage? Unigine? Just to get some more comparisons, we'd be able to help better then.

266.58, sorry I forgot they use the last five digits.

Oh and sorry about the double post, I keep thinking I am on my other site where you can't edit messages. :X

EDIT: Er the Unigine Heaven 2.1 Bench is going to take an hour to download. :X

GTX470's overclock very well, you should try that.

Download MSI afterburner + OCCT

Overclock your 470 and stress test it with OCCT (on error checking mode)

(if the GPU test won't load, you need a directx update here)

You should be able to get 730-775mhz on 1.00V, and usually 800+ on 1.087V

That's a 25-30% increase in performance, just remember to keep your temps in check (<90C, the card's theoretical max temp is 105C though)

Do I run OCCT and MSI at the same time? Like Kombuster with MSI?
