Gigabyte GAX58A-ud5 Rev 1 in trouble

Thread Starter
I have a buddy who brought me his rig to see if I could do anything with it so here's the story.

He's had it for a while but can't load windows 7 64bit on it. It takes way long to get to each screen then hangs up after reboot to finish install. I'm no Giga-guru so I ask for your help. I'm confident that the bios is part of the issue. Also the memory he has is OCZ Gold series ocz3g1600lv6gk (which the timing is all off) So I'm asking you what I should do, giving me step by step how i should go about correcting this issue and link me to any resources you think will help. Also keep in mind we want this thing to remain stock, no OCing (yet).

Thanks a ton I will check back soon!

You should run memtest on the memory, and then there are certain legacy settings in teh advanced tab in the BIOS turn them off.
