What headset and sound card would you recommend?

Thread Starter
I was going to get the sennheiser 360s but then I saw that it was open ear so it doesnt block the outside sound and there is alot were I am.

Now I think im going to get the sennheiser 350s so I just hear my game/music.

What sound card would you guys recommend for me to get I know its going to pretty much cost the same as the headset which is $180.

Also what would be the next best closed ear headset.

I'm not too familiar with headsets (I got a pair of the Logitech G930s - but they're closed ear). The wireless is definitely nice though.

As for a sound card, you can find the Soundblaster X-Fi cards on sale now and then which should be decent.

Another one that people seem to really like are the ASUS Xonar sound cards. The Auzentech line of cards are supposed to be really nice as well and worth looking into as well.

They should all be in the $100-200 range with the soundblasters being cheaper than the others unless prices have shifted a lot.

If you have more specific questions lemme know and I'll try to answer them.

Hope I was of some help. Rep me if you can. (Sorry if I'm not supposed to ask for rep, just I answer lots of questions and never get rep'd lol)

Well if your sound card budget is around $180, grab yourself the Xonar Essence ST(X). If you don't want to spend that much, get the Xonar DG for ~$30 (there's a $10 manufacturers rebate going around for this card until the 28th).
