firefighters from 9/11 were suffered from something similar to this. lots of tiny, harmful particles they did breath.

first know this. a cheat paper mask wouldn't do any good anyway. the dangerous particles floating in the air are so tiny that they easily pass through the holes on the paper mask. you need at least a gas mask which covers your eyes, nose and mouth to be completely safe.

but since the stuff you breath are in so small amount, i doubt they do any harm to your lungs and eyes.

I once lapped a CPU without a mask, I had a similar experience. I felt fine at first so I didn't think much of it, but about half an hour later without any notice, my head began to feel light. I couldn't stop myself from this breathing in elongated awkward breaths through me nose.

After a few moments that passed but as I began moving toward my chair, my head started feeling light almost as if I was dizzying. I started breathing that strange way again and I couldn't stop my head from tilting back slightly.

So anyway, I sneezed and went on with my day. Sorry for not summing that up a bit better.

Ok so I booted up computer and screen is all green with lines running to the right. I am assuming I destroyed my CPU . I switched gpu to be sure and still same green color and lines. It will boot to windows and all but it looks horrible. On the bright side temps are very low

yeah you probably killed something inside of it with static, try a diff processor or motherboard if available

you used thermal paste on cpu then mounted heatsink on cpu right? arctic silver compound paste or similar? i dont think the problem is cpu related for green lines on monitor.

turn pc off remove graphics card and put it back in motherboard.

I posted pics of my newly dead cpu on first page. If anyone has come across this type of screen before let me know. I tried two different graphics cards and both boot to this same color and distortion. Sad

I think that u personally will pull through with a bit of man-up-anol, and surely the cpu would just die if it was static-ed not get green lines .

Try prime95 and see if you get any math errors. obv on a stock clock.

depending on what in the CPU went because of static, any number of issues are possible including graphical errors
