Okay, so Virgin Mobile?

I am going to be nabbing the LG Optimus V on Virgin Mobile next month and I have several questions.

1. How is the 3G service and the overall phone service on Virgin Mobile?
2. It's an Andriod 2.2 phone, what are some needed apps? Such as battery savers and task killers, etc.

Please and thank you!

I can answer your first question.

Virgin Mobile runs off the Sprint network so it probably tied for 2nd with ATT.

Thank you very much sir, I am very tied up on getting it. But the $25 a month plan is just too good to pass up. It's $25 a month for unlimited texting, email, and web with 300 anytime minutes.

Hmm.. Quick Settings is nice for easily turning features off and on that you need (or don't need) at the time. This would save a good bit of battery life if you stayed on top of it.

JuiceDefender is another good one. You can set the interval that you allow apps to sync in the background. You can change is based on if you're on Wifi/3G/HSPA+ etc etc.

If you search around, its been said that task killers actually have a negative impact on your phones.

Ive actually stopped using task killers and haven't noticed a significant difference without them.

As for apps, I have used advanced task killer and system panel lite.

I too am looking into it. AT&T is good but I am paying $60 a month and not getting any web. I don't use a lot of minutes so whatever. I mostly text, and with web now I can email too.
