Motherboard Buzzing??

Thread Starter
I have for the last week been trying to figure out what was buzzing from my computer setup. I suspected the usual PSU or video card. Well after 2 PSU and 3 video cards its still their. That leaves only the motherboard. Has anyone ever heard of a motherboard buzzing? I know PSU and video cards will I just never heard of motherboards doing it. Its really annoying too. I have also tried different outlets in my house too.

do you have power saving features enabled?

Some boards buzz when the voltages fluctuate.

Do you smell burning??? If you do its the capacitors, all caps on the board must be replaced. In the asian factory a cap patent was taken but their chemical blend inside it was wrong and caused bulging caps, burning, buzzing, random restarts.

Does this buzz affect performance, when its buzzing is their a slow down then crash or something... if not your fine

The problem could be interference. Try muting all of your audio input devices and see if it's still buzzing. If it's still happening, you may have to RMA.

I RMAed mine and when they returned it I no longer had issues. Oddly enough they wrote "NTF" which I assume means nothing to fix on the invoice. However I did move my computer to a different outlet when it was returned to me, so that could've been what fixed it.

No my system works fine. Its just really annoying to listen to buzzzzzzzzzzzz the whole time I am playing a game. I am going to RMA it once the new P67 chipsets come out. The reworked ones that is..
