Refund for digital content.....don't hold your breath on that.

BUT,
I will say that if you call xbox live customer service and are willing to put up with an hour or so of trouble shooting, it's very possible they will "comp" you with something for your troubles.

My story,
I downloaded the arcade game, "Defense Grid" day of release. All went well till I transferred my license to by other xbox. That game would come up corrupted no matter what I did. Called them up, and went through about an hour of trouble shooting and being passed around from level one service rep to level two service rep. By that time, I could no longer hold in my frustration and it was translating through my tone of voice I'm sure. Basically, they kept saying that it may be an issue with my HDD and I kept saying they could piss off with that. All 60 other arcade games work just fine, but I still kept getting that yellow triangle symbol with an exclamation mark in it.

So.....because they couldn't figure it out over the phone, they said it could be the xbox and I could have it serviced, and they would extend the warranty for me since it was outside of it for my convenience. I rejected that. Told them the box works fine with everything else. Finally I just said, give me my points back and wipe this game from my account. They refused that, but they gave me an option to choose from one of three digital downloads or an extra month of live. I took the digital download....but apparently........it was my xbox. lol

Since then, I've gotten the slim and a new jasper box and I can now play Defense Grid. Don't know what the problem was....but oh well.

Dedmon, you had an error in your license itself.

COD map packs did it to me.

On topic:
Have fun trying to get back something they say in their terms of sale "NON REFUNDABLE"

There is no legal way to get yo' dollar back. End of really sorry to say.

Sorry to resurrect a thread, but it's only a few weeks old and I have a solution.

I bought Battlefield1943. The demo ran great, but it turned out that the servers for the full game were not working well. BF1943 is a multiplayer-only game, so I was stuck with having spent 1200 points on garbage.

First I searched for a fix online. Cleared cache, made sure ports were forwarded, etc. Still the same problem. I emailed EA, told them my issue in a clear and polite way (not "game dont werk muney back kthxbai") and got some form letter back that had nothing to do with my complaint. I emailed again, asking to speak with a live person. No dice.

I went to the Better Business Bureau website (www.bbb.org) and filed a complaint there about EA games, and explained how I had twice contacted EA with my problem and their lack of a response. The next day, I receive an email from someone at EA games letting me know that they cannot refund my money, but they would be happy to send me a free copy of any game in their catalog. I requested BFBC2. Not only did they give me a free game that would have cost more than the $15 I had spent already, they paid the shipping and included a VIP code as well.

Just be clear about what your problem is, and don't act like an indignant self-righteous child about it. I'm not saying that you are acting this way, but people assume all gamers act like that - it's your job to make them take you seriously. Once you demonstrate that you can act like an adult, they will treat you like one and make it up to you.
