Thermaltake V9 black fans!

Thread Starter
Hello there,

Well just today I received my shipment and built my first pc
However, I noticed that 4 case fans on thermaltake V9 black edition have just one cable each going to the power supply. And now it seems like they are pretty much 24/7 on full power. There is quite a bit of noise tho..

My logical part thinks that if there are no cables going to motherboard then probably I can't control those fans? Is there any way to change this without replacing fans with ones that have sensors?

Or am I a complete amateur and maybe case fans have to be working 24/7?

you can get a fan controller which the cables can plug into ,3 pin or 4 pin adapter that allows you to regulate the speed to your liking.

they are really really cheap ! easy little mod that will solve your problem.

I agree with the above. Get yourself a fan controller for sure. I got a Thermaltake Armor + Full Tower and added several fans to it for cooling and I had the same problem as you, they were on full blast and it was a tad bit loud. So a purchased a NZXT Sentry fan controller and now the fans are at about 60% power most of the time and much quieter. The other nice thing with this fan controller is that you can monitor temps. at different points throughout your case as well. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-005-_-Product
